Synergistic Nutrition: Harmonizing Foods + Supplements

I've been working in the food, wellness + nutrition industry since 2012 and during this time I've learned most people are either totally for supplements or against them. In the past, I have personally been in the latter group thinking "I don't need supplements, I'll just eat the nutrients my body needs." In a perfect world, this is ABSOLUTELY ideal, right? Balanced meals EVERY day, eating the rainbow EVERY day with a balanced array of veggies, complex carbs, proteins, fruits, fats, etc.


The truth is, in whatever stage of this busy life you're in, there is no way we are getting 100% of the nutrient dense foods, minerals and vitamins we need each day. It's likely that some days we are, but supplements can be an INCREDIBLE way to fill in the gaps and make sure you're consuming what your body needs to thrive on a consistent basis.


I love drinking my greens + having a daily shake because I'm confident if I miss a part of the rainbow, my gut will maintain balance and I'll have the energy I need to chase around my kids. Plus, I get to have chocolate for a snack...what could be better?!
