Entrepreneurship, Healing, and Motherhood: The Journey of Building While Becoming

Entrepreneurship is often portrayed as a hustle—late nights, early mornings, and a relentless drive toward success. Motherhood, in many ways, is the same: constant learning, adapting, and pouring yourself into something greater than you. But what isn’t talked about enough is the intersection of the two—how building a business while raising a family can also be a journey of deep healing.
For me, entrepreneurship isn’t just about business growth; it’s about personal growth. It’s about creating a life that reflects my values. As a wellness consultant, trained chef, and founder of a nonprofit focused on nature-based play, I’ve learned that success isn’t just measured in revenue—it’s measured in the moments of presence and the freedom to design a life that nurtures both my family and my purpose.
Healing has been a necessary part of this journey. Becoming an entrepreneur forced me to confront limiting beliefs, step out of my comfort zone, and has also helped me confront my grief in different ways. Motherhood, in its raw and beautiful chaos, has been my greatest teacher—showing me that rest is productive, that resilience is built in the dark, and that my children don’t just need to see me "hustling." They need to see that I'm building something I'm proud of, something that brings me joy and provides our family with big opportunities to slow down and be really intentional about our time.
If you’re a mother navigating entrepreneurship, I see you. It’s not always easy, but it's always meaningful if you choose something that lights your fire. The business you’re building is a reflection of the person you’re becoming. And when we embrace healing as part of the process, we don’t just create businesses—we create legacies.
Thinking about stepping into entrepreneurship but not sure where to start? Let’s connect. There are so many ways to build a business that aligns with your values and the life you want to create. I’d love to support you on your journey.
